"In July 2014, REINZ updated its agency agreement template for residential transactions with the aim of
achieving a fair balance between an agency’s right and that of the client’s. The information sheet has been
designed to address the common questions which REINZ expects to receive from its members in respect of the
REINZ Agency Agreement and summarises the main changes that have been implemented.
This updating work has incorporated the joint work that has been carried out in conjunction with the Real
Estate Agents Authority. The revised template also takes into account comments from the New Zealand Law
