2025 Continuing Professional Development Training
The Real Estate Authority (REA) requires real estate licenses in New Zealand to complete at least 10 hours of verifiable and 10 hours of non-verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year. Failure to complete CPD training hours by 31 December can put licensees at risk of licence cancellation with a five-year stand-down period.
REINZ is an REA approved training provider for verifiable CPD training, which is offered both face-to-face and online, giving you the flexibility to choose what suits your learning style and situation. Our face-to-face sessions are popular as you'll have the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts and connect with licensees.
Our 2025 face-to-face verifiable training covers the following topics:
- Diversity and Inclusion: Meeting your obligations through effective communication (mandatory)
- Legal ownership and tenure (title)
- Know the Property
- Issues Beyond the Boundary
- Engaging with councils: Know your rights and obligations
- Sale and Purchase Agreements: Critical Understanding
- Conjunctional Sales
A selection of online verifiable training packages are also available if you prefer to complete the training on your own time. These packages include the mandatory topic and 9 hours of elective topics to support you to complete 10 hours of verifiable training. Alternatively, we also offer individual verifiable topics, if you prefer to choose your own selection of verifiable training topics.
A wide selection of online training, webinars and events are also available to meet your non-verifiable training hours.
