The New Zealand Certificate in Real Estate (Branch Manager) (Level 5) is a 24-week programme designed to provide you with broad operational and technical knowledge to lead and supervise staff professionally and ethically, and to manage a real estate business to ensure compliance within the current regulatory environment.
This qualification is designed for people seeking to undertake management responsibilities in the real estate industry.
This course includes:
- Two in-person block courses (three days each), one at the start and one at the end of the programme.
- Three live online training sessions delivered between the block courses.

Prerequisite
To be eligible for entry, you must hold one of the following:
- New Zealand Certificate in Real Estate (Salesperson) (Level 4), OR
- National Certificate in Real Estate (Salesperson) (Level 4), OR
- A current (or suspended within the last three years) Salesperson Licence.

Complete your enrolment form
After registration and payment, you will be directed to complete the online enrolment form to confirm your enrolment.

Provide verified/certified ID
Submit one of the following verified/certified documents:
- NZ Passport or NZ Birth Certificate OR
- Overseas passport plus NZ Resident Class Visa
Certifying or Verifying Documents
Copies of your documents can be certified by any of the following:
- Justice of the Peace
- Lawyer
- Court Official, such as a Court Registrar or Deputy Registrar
- Notary Public
For licensing purposes
Licensing is governed by the Real Estate Authority (REA). To apply for a Branch Manager Licence, you must:
- Have at least three years of licensed real estate agency work experience, AND
- Successfully complete the New Zealand Certificate in Real Estate (Level 5).
