Lizzy Ryley

Chief Executive Officer

An experienced Chief Executive, Lizzy is a marketing, communications, and data & digital transformation leader with more than 30 years’ experience across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.

Lizzy has led organisations through data & digital transformations for many years, nurturing innovation and driving systems and processes that deliver exceptional business growth and customer experiences.  She is passionate about supporting a trusted, future-ready real estate profession and building strong connections with members and industry stakeholders.

Lizzy holds an MBA from Sheffield University (UK), is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Directors, and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.

Rob Larsen

Chief Financial & Operating Officer

Rob brings over 25 years of both local and international experience spanning the data, technology, and media industries, with a strong record of operational and commercial leadership. A Chartered Accountant and graduate of the New Zealand Company Directors course, Rob brings further professional rigour to REINZ’s financial and operational management. In his role, he works closely with the CEO and Board to shape the organisation’s strategic direction, lead its financial and operational performance and deliver initiatives that strengthen service delivery to REINZ stakeholders.

David Newton

Head of Education

David's role focuses on leading REINZ Education and driving the delivery of a high quality learning and development experience to support our industry to excel. David has a strong background, with experience in business and education transformation projects, as well as initiatives in housing and construction. He project-managed the transition of Industry Training Organisations (ITOs) into Te Pūkenga and the creation of the Earn Learn business. He also holds an Executive MBA with a focus on finance, including special projects on financial markets and financial literacy in trades training.

Melisa Beight

General Counsel

Melisa joined the REINZ team in January 2021. Melisa leads the Legal function across the organisation, the Advisory Service for members, and the Advocacy function at REINZ. With the Chief Executive, Melisa leads government relations. She has extensive legal experience and relevant commercial experience, including advising and working with industry groups and membership organisations.

Billy Miller

Chief Digital and Innovation Officer

As an accomplished technology executive with over 30 years experience, Billy has worked in all areas of technology across multiple industries both in New Zealand and overseas.  As well as running and developing our suite of digital and data products, Billy is passionate about innovation and the use of emerging technologies (such as AI) to improve our member experience.  In addition to his role at REINZ, Billy volunteers as the Chief Information Officer at SPCA, mentors new technology leaders and has founded several technology startups.

Trey Sarten

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

With more than 20 years’ experience in senior communications and corporate affairs roles across real estate, hospitality, and consumer products, Trey has a strong background in building integrated brand strategies that help organisations connect with the people who matter most to them.

At REINZ, Trey is responsible for communications, marketing, member engagement, and events, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to enhance REINZ’s reputation, deepen member connection, and ensure REINZ’s story is told clearly and consistently across audiences.

Trey is a member of the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ).

REINZ Board of Directors

Our Board is responsible for the overall governance of REINZ. The Board has nine members — five Regional Directors, one from each of the five regions across New Zealand, and four appointees, of which two must be independent, one must be a member from Region One, and one must be the Chair.
