Drones in Real Estate

Note: The use of drones is currently governed by Parts 101 and 102 of the Civil Aviation Rules, this is because drones are known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) or Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) so essentially, they are considered to be aircrafts and therefore, the CAA governs their use. From 5 April 2025, the new Civil Aviation Act 2023 (Act) will regulate drone use in New Zealand. You can read the Act here and updates/progress on the Act here.
