Note: The use of drones is currently governed by Parts 101 and 102 of the Civil Aviation Rules, this is because drones are known as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) or Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) so essentially, they are considered to be aircrafts and therefore, the CAA governs their use. From 5 April 2025, the new Civil Aviation Act 2023 (Act) will regulate drone use in New Zealand. You can read the Act here and updates/progress on the Act here.

Accessing and Launching the Course:

• Once in the Learning Hub, click on ‘View My Courses, here you can find all the online courses you have in progress or not started.

Progress Tracking:

• Your progress is automatically saved. You can pause and resume whenever it suits you.

Completion Requirements:

• Ensure you finish all questions and activities within the online course to be marked as completed. Complete all the tasks online for the overall course completion.

Recording Completion:

• After finishing, wait up to 12 hours for the completion to be added to your CPD logbook.
